Summer Highlights

Hawaii kicked off our summer and for the rest of it the boys wanted to do a bunch of NOTHING! Hawaii must have really worn them out.  This was taken the day we got back...
Crue was really excited to see his dog again... or as he calls her his "sister"! He spent a lot of time this summer cuddling and wrestling with her.
Shortly after we got back Nana and her annual book fair to give the boys books, coloring books, puzzles and other fun things to keep them occupied while school is out. They loved it!
One night before we read our scriptures I ran to get my glasses and when I came back these cuties were sporting their own. It was pretty cute.
So Summer can get boring so I put together some lists to help us stay busy.  The top one was our family bucket list with things we wanted to do together throughout the summer.  The bottom one was for the boys to find something to do during down time. They ended up loving doing nothing... it was a good idea any way though...
We spent a lot of time at the library and they had a cool superhero theme this summer.  The boys had fun with it!

Our friends invited us to Val Vista Lakes pool and Crue said this was "Arizona's Hawaii".
We swam A LOT

Crue and Dad were so cute and cuddly watching the fountain, during one of our trips to Fountain Hills

These boys played a lot of Wii... it wasn't my favorite but they all played together nicely so I granted access once they did two chores each and read for 30 minutes.
We did a staycation at the Westin Kierland. Our staycations are always fun!

Jojo and Lauren joined us for a bit. So fun!

We became good friends with the Petersen family and the boys have been having so much fun with Cooper! Caleb especially loves hanging with him.  One day after swim lessons he said, "All I want to do is hang with Cooper!"

We even went glow in the dark mini golfing with Cooper
The boys had a good Fourth of July hanging at Nana and Papa's house!

We watched the must anticipated (by my boys) Minions movie.  These boys get excited about fire hydrants ever since... papaya!
One of the things on our bucket list was to have Christmas in July so Nana surprised the boys with Christmas presents... in July! It was awesome!
Poor Uma was really bored staying inside with how hot it was... still is... so she went for rides in the car a lot just to change up her scenery.  Every time she sat in Kellans seat and we had to coax her out. She loves to look out the window while we drive.
Jojo lived down here for the summer and the boys had fun playing with him.  We hit up Peter Piper before he left!
One day we had a playdate with Porter Milford and his mom to swim for a couple hours... it quickly turned into four hours and his dad decided to join us.  Then we stayed... and stayed until our dad was off work so he joined us and we stayed some more. Two meals, lots of snacks and popsicles later we were there for 10 hours! We should've put that on our bucket list!
Caleb and I went to the Imagine Dragons concert together! He loved it!!! And I loved being with him.  He was so much fun to watch. I think this is the beginning of a big concert future for the two of us!
My fellow concert party goer
The Saturday before school started we got donuts for a last time... Yep we got donuts A LOT this summer! I feel like we didn't do much this summer because the boys wanted to do a lot of nothing and we did... but we did have a lot of fun!
